Questions
Frequently asked questions
Short answers about cost, accounts, privacy, and what runs underneath.
Is Cyber24 free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use. There is no paid tier, no queue to buy your way out of, and no upload quota.
Do I need an account?
No: open a tool, use it, close the tab. That includes the transcriber, which reads audio and video on the box for anyone. A signed-in account only adds the extras, the AI helper that tidies a transcript and saved keyword lists, and those accounts are made by the site owner.
Is anything stored?
No. Your file is deleted once you have it back, and within the hour either way. There is no copy, no backup, and nothing to sell.
Which languages does the transcriber support?
It is tuned for Bengali, Hindi and English, and can auto-detect the language. Output is available as SRT, VTT or plain text.
Is downloading legal?
The browser extension fetches only public media over your own connection. You are responsible for having the right to download and use what you fetch.
What runs underneath?
Mostly ffmpeg and a handful of open tools that have done this work for years, with the flags already worked out. Each tool says what it uses.
Can I edit files or Office documents in the Android app?
Text and code files, txt, md, json, xml, yaml, toml, html, csv, and more, edit and save right on the phone. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint go through the server: view as PDF, convert, or edit, with LibreOffice doing the conversion. Excel and CSV edit in a grid, Word edits the text, PowerPoint is view and convert only. The layout is re-rendered by the converter, not kept pixel for pixel.
What archives can the app open, and can it make one?
It opens zip, 7z, tar, tar.gz, gz, and rar. Pick specific files and extract only those to a folder you choose, or repack a selection into a new zip, 7z, or tar. A rar cannot be recreated, so it repacks to one of the other formats.
Can I inspect an APK?
Yes: open an APK in the app to read its name, version, permissions, and contents, and to pull individual files out of it.
How do edits and downloads stay private?
Image, PDF, text, and audio work runs on the phone, so those files never leave the device. Office conversion and heavy convert send the file to the server for the job, then it is deleted the moment the result is ready, the same as every other tool.
